Hidden Atlas is an independent art project that explores the intersection of science, imagination and visual storytelling.
Inspired by the aesthetics of historical atlases, anatomical illustrations and museum archives, Hidden Atlas documents ideas that cannot be measured, preserved or fully explained. Emotions, memories, dreams, time and impossible natural phenomena are presented as if they were subjects of rigorous scientific investigation.
Each artwork belongs to a fictional institution dedicated to cataloguing the invisible. Through carefully structured departments, research plates and archival classifications, every print becomes part of a growing collection that blurs the boundary between scientific documentation and speculative art.
Rather than creating isolated posters, Hidden Atlas is building a coherent visual archive. Every collection follows a shared design language inspired by museum publications, technical drawings and natural history illustrations, allowing individual works to exist both independently and as part of a larger world.
While rooted in the traditions of scientific illustration, Hidden Atlas embraces contemporary creative technologies. Every piece is developed through an original process that combines visual research, artistic direction, graphic design, typography and digital image-making.
Depending on the project, the creative workflow may also include AI-assisted image generation alongside illustration, compositing and other digital techniques. AI is used as one of many creative tools within the production process. Every artwork is individually conceived, directed, edited and prepared for print as an original Hidden Atlas creation.
All prints are produced on demand to minimise waste while maintaining museum-quality production standards. Every edition is created for collectors, design enthusiasts and curious minds who appreciate thoughtful visual storytelling and timeless archival aesthetics.
The archive continues to expand through new departments, research series and discoveries, inviting visitors to explore a world where imagination is documented with the precision of science.
